Iditarod Sled Dog Race 2009 > Iditarod Sled Dogs Stay Warm

Fish for salmon, halibut and trout. Beachcombing for ivory and glass floats; visit the gold rush cities of Dawson, Skagway, and Nome. A great adventure is to fly the west coast from Dillingham to Barrow. Springtime wolf viewing trips can be done too.

Customized trips can be exclusively fishing, flight-seeing, photography, or all of these. We start from Anchorage. Most prices for 2008 will start at $1050 per day, per person, depending on lodging and the number of people.

Iditarod Chuck Wirschem | Alaska Sky Trekking

(July-August, 5-7 days) This 600 mile mountain range is the most remote in Alaska. ANWR makes up most of the eastern portion and is the least populated. The west end has unique Eskimo villages that we can visit including Wales on the tip of the Seward Peninsula. Russia can be seen across the Bering Straits. Wildlife photography can include caribou and musk oxen. Fishing is specialized for large arctic char, grayling, silver salmon, and sheefish. This loop can be combined with Mt. McKinley, Prince William Sound, and the Wrangells.
